Steel Production:

The production process of steel structures begins with raw material preparation. Steel plates, sections (such as I-beams and angles), and coils undergo rigorous quality inspections for chemical composition and mechanical properties. They are then cut into precise dimensions using advanced tools like CNC plasma cutters or laser cutting machines, ensuring accuracy within millimeters. Next, forming processes—including bending, rolling, or punching—shape the cut pieces into required profiles, such as curved beams or perforated plates. Welding is a critical step: high-strength joints are created using methods like submerged arc welding (SAW) for thick sections or gas metal arc welding (GMAW) for intricate connections, with ultrasonic testing applied to detect hidden defects.
Following initial fabrication, components are assembled into larger structural units, such as columns, girders, or trusses, using jigs to maintain alignment. Surface treatment comes next: shot blasting removes rust and scale, achieving a clean finish (typically Sa2.5 standard) before applying protective coatings—epoxy primers for corrosion resistance, followed by topcoats or fire-retardant paints. Final quality checks include dimensional verification with 3D scanners, load testing of critical joints, and compliance audits against standards like GB 50205 or AISC.
