Working Principle
  1. Feed Gas Pretreatment: advanced desulfurization removes sulfur and impurities to protect downstream catalysts.
  2. Steam Methane Reforming: pretreated gas reacts with steam at 700-950 ℃ over nickel catalysts: CH4 + H2O = CO + 3H2.
  3. Water-Gas Shift: CO reacts with steam to maximize hydrogen yield: CO + H2O = CO2 + H2.
  4. PSA Purification: the syngas is purified to leave high-purity hydrogen up to 99.9999%.

Q: What is the main advantage of SMR technology over water electrolysis?
A: SMR (Steam Methane Reforming) remains the most economical technology for large-scale industrial hydrogen production.
