Is it safe to leave an immersion heater on all the time?
Immersion heaters should not be left on continuously unless controlled by a timer system (such as a night rate timer that activates heating for limited periods).
How do I know if my immersion heater is faulty?
Test thermostat resistance between terminals when water is cold. A reading below 1 ohm indicates proper function, while higher resistance suggests thermostat failure.
