1.1 What are the critical installation precautions for the A10VSO pump?
Proper installation is critical to avoid premature failure. Follow these key guidelines:
Mounting Position: Install the pump horizontally (drive shaft parallel to the ground) to ensure proper lubrication. Vertical mounting (drive shaft upward) is allowed but requires a minimum oil level in the reservoir to prevent cavitation.
Drive Connection: Use a flexible coupling (e.g., jaw coupling) to align the pump drive shaft with the motor shaft (misalignment ≤0.1 mm radial, ≤0.2 mm axial). Avoid using belts or chains, which cause excessive shaft stress.
Suction Line Requirements: The suction line diameter must be ≥ the pump’s suction port diameter; keep the line as short as possible (≤1.5 meters) with minimal bends. Ensure the suction filter has a flow capacity ≥1.5x the pump’s maximum flow (filtration precision 100 μm).
Discharge Line Installation: Install a pressure gauge and relief valve (set to 10% above the system’s maximum operating pressure) in the discharge line. Use flexible hoses near the pump to absorb vibration.
Reservoir Ventilation: The hydraulic reservoir must have a breather filter (ISO 16/13) to prevent contamination and maintain atmospheric pressure.
1.2 How to perform the initial commissioning of the A10VSO pump?
Commissioning should be conducted by qualified technicians in a step-by-step manner to ensure safe and optimal operation:
Pre-Commissioning Check: Verify all connections (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical) are secure and correctly aligned.
Check the hydraulic reservoir oil level (must be 20-30% above the suction port) and fluid quality.
Ensure all valves (suction, discharge, relief) are in the open position.
Priming the Pump: Loosen the air bleed screw on the pump’s discharge port.
Manually rotate the pump drive shaft 5-10 times (using a wrench) to fill the pump with oil and expel air.
Tighten the air bleed screw once oil flows out without bubbles.
Initial Start-Up: Start the motor at low speed (500-1000 rpm) for 1-2 minutes.
Check for abnormal noise, vibration, or oil leaks. Stop immediately if any issues are detected.
Gradually increase the speed to the nominal operating range (1000-2800 rpm).
Control Calibration: For pressure-compensated models: Adjust the pressure setpoint using the compensator screw (refer to the system’s pressure requirement).
For electro-hydraulic models: Send a 0-100% electrical signal and verify that the pump’s displacement changes linearly (use a flow meter to confirm flow rate).
Load Test: Apply gradual load to the system (up to the maximum operating pressure).
Confirm that the pump’s control mechanism responds correctly (e.g., pressure compensator reduces flow at set pressure).
Monitor pump temperature (should not exceed 60°C after 30 minutes of operation).
