Single Shaft Plastic Shredder for Melt Lump Processing
Before HDPE pipe extrusion lines can operate smoothly, workers must start the machinery and adjust all parameters throughout the process. During this setup phase, significant amounts of waste PE melt lumps are generated. These large, hard blocks cannot be processed by standard crushers and require specialized shredding equipment. Our single shaft shredder features high rotation speed and specially shaped knives that efficiently process these waste melt lumps through the input port, producing uniform particles from the outlet.
Two Single Shaft Shredder Configurations
We offer two distinct single shaft shredder models: sliding port shredder and upper port shredder. Both configurations share identical motor specifications and internal structures, providing flexibility for different operational requirements.
Pre-Crushing Applications
Our single shaft plastic shredders are engineered for pre-crushing challenging materials including sacks, jumbo bags, tires, cable, and yarn that prove difficult to process in standard granulators. Pre-crushing these materials significantly enhances granulator capacity while extending equipment lifespan and blade durability.
Materials pre-processed through our rotating and fixed blade system can be further refined in granulators to achieve desired particle sizes. The system incorporates advanced safety features including automatic stop, reverse direction operation, and alarm functions to handle potential material jamming, metal detection, and overload conditions.
