Basic form: Solid long bars with a circular cross-section; specifications are indicated by diameter "Φ" (e.g., Φ50), with a typical length of about 4–6 meters.
Surface condition: Divided into bright round bars with smooth surfaces (finished, used for precision components) and black bars retaining an oxide layer (hot-rolled, used for further processing).
Key performance: Taking the most common 304 as an example, it offers good corrosion and heat resistance as well as favorable mechanical properties; grade 316 with added molybdenum (Mo) features superior corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength, suitable for harsh environments.
Specification range: The diameter of hot-rolled round bars generally ranges from 5.5mm to 250mm.
