Working Principle of Length Over 2m RF Admittance Level Switch Top Mounted
The working principle of RF admittance level switch is based on RF capacitor technology. A radio frequency is applied to the probe and, through continuous analysis, the influence caused by the surrounding environment is determined. Because all materials have a dielectric constant and their conductivity is different from that of air, the total impedance reflected when the probe is in contact with the material changes due to a small capacitance shift. Because the energized probe and the container wall form the two plates of the capacitor, the insulator of the probe and the surrounding air become the dielectric material. When the air (whose permittivity is 1.0) is replaced by any other material (permittivity >1), the capacitance effect is enhanced. Thus changing the impedance of the application. That is, the change in capacitance value causes the change in impedance. This effect is measured by the circuit and compared to a reference base established by the sensitivity setting (circuit).
