Product Overview
The Q345E Railway Flat Wagon is engineered with premium high-strength weathering steel, delivering exceptional structural integrity and long-term durability for heavy-duty rail cargo transport. Rated at 60 tons load capacity, this flatbed wagon is purpose-built for transporting ISO containers, heavy machinery, steel coils, and oversized industrial equipment across standard gauge railway networks.
The entire wagon frame and deck structure are fabricated from Q345E grade high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) structural steel with excellent atmospheric corrosion resistance. Compared to conventional Q235 carbon steel, Q345E offers 40% higher yield strength (minimum 345 MPa), superior low-temperature toughness down to -40 C, and enhanced fatigue resistance from welded joints. This material grade ensures reliable performance in extreme climates and heavy-duty operating conditions.
Equipped with a KE-type pneumatic air brake system compliant with UIC standards, featuring dual brake pipes (main reservoir pipe and brake pipe), automatic load-proportional braking, and emergency brake capability. The system includes brake cylinders, slack adjusters, and composite brake shoes for consistent, fade-resistant stopping power even under full load. Anti-skid protection and parking brake with manual release are integrated for enhanced safety.
All steel surfaces receive a two-component epoxy anti-corrosion coating system applied through grit blasting (SA 2.5 surface preparation) followed by epoxy primer (80-120 um dry film thickness) and polyurethane topcoat (50-80 um DFT). This multi-layer protection system provides superior resistance against salt spray, humidity, UV radiation, and chemical exposure, extending service life by 50% compared to standard alkyd-based coatings and significantly reducing maintenance requirements in coastal and industrial environments.
Fitted with AAR E/F type automatic couplers with draft gear and buffer assemblies, ensuring full interoperability with North American and international rolling stock. The coupler system is rated for 3,000 kN ultimate tensile strength and includes anti-climbing protection for crew safety.
The wagon rides on Y25 type welded bogie frames with coil spring primary and secondary suspension, providing superior ride quality and reduced wheel-rail wear. The bogie features a fixed wheelbase of 1,800mm and is compatible with track curves down to 75m radius, ensuring reliable operation across diverse railway networks.
