BARENATE® P-300 is an easily dispersible, thixotropic organically modified bentonite designed for thickening diverse oils. It delivers superior gelling control and anti-settling performance with higher efficiency than conventional organoclays, reducing required dosage.

Thickening & Anti-Settling:
Forms shear-thinning gels in oils (silicones, esters, mineral oils).
Prevents pigment/filler sedimentation in lipsticks, foundations, and anhydrous formulations.
Gel Stabilization:
Provides high low-shear viscosity for structured textures (balms, stick products).
Dispersion Process:
Step 1: Add target oil to mixer → begin agitation.
Step 2: Incorporate BARENATE® P-300 (0.5–2%) → mix 4–5 min until homogeneous.
Step 3: Add polar activator (5–20% of P-300 weight) → mix 4–5 min.
Activator Options: Propylene carbonate or 95% ethanol.
Viscosity Adjustment:Increase/reduce P-300 dosage to achieve target viscosity.
Carton
Store in a cool, dry and ventilated place. Shelf life is 36 months if the original package is unopened and intact.
