01 What is PLA?
Most biodegradable bags are made from PLA (polylactic acid) plastic. PLA is a bioplastic material made from renewable resources such as corn and sugar. It is a sustainable product and is compostable in industrial composting facilities. It is a great material to use in packaging as it is food safe and relatively inexpensive.
02 Cycle of Biodegradation
Exactly how long a biodegradable bag takes to break down depends on various factors,such as temperature and the amount of moisture present.The compostable bags will biodegrade within 30 days in a commercial composting facility, and within 90 days in a home composting system.
03 Is PLA environmentally friendly?
Polylactide is referred to as a 'bioplastic' because of its environmentally friendly nature. Polylactide (PLA), is a renewable thermoplastic and a polymer. It is 'processed' from the starch of plants such as corn, sugar cane and sugar beet, making it environmentally friendly and sustainable.
We believe that incredible health shouldn't cost the earth. Starting from next month we will begin eliminating all plastic from our business and launching 100% home compostable packaging across our entire product range! Every year millions of tonnes of plastic are sent to landfill and dumped into our oceans, and we all need to take responsibility. Even recyclable packaging isn't enough, as it is rarely recycled more than once and still takes over 1000 years to decompose. This is why we have been working so hard to create truly sustainable, zero waste packaging for all of our products. We wanted a solution that actually makes a difference and doesn't just put a bandaid over the problem. So we have created packaging that is 100% home compostable, which means it is made entirely from plants and will compost in your food waste or even your back garden.
Remark
(1) Qty :+-10% acceptable. Total cost will be charged according to final quantity.
(2) Size:+-3mm, Weight: +-5g is allowed because of unstable machine and raw material.
(3) Price Valid: 1 month
(4) As the item is customized and we can't sell to others, after order confirmed and deposit paid, the order cannot be cancelled and the deposit cannot be returned. If the quantity and design need to change after order confirmed, please contact us to remake cost calculation.
(5) If the goods in transportation are delayed or seized due to uncontrollable factors such as customs inspections, holidays or third party factors, we will make our best to do support, but we will not be responsible due to third-party factors.
