Q2: What is the difference between 1K and 2K clear coat?
A: 2K clear coat cures via chemical crosslinking with hardener, featuring higher hardness, gloss and weather resistance for full-car and high-quality repairs. 1K clear coat cures by solvent evaporation, for fast small-area touch-ups.
Q3: How long does clear coat take to cure?
A: At 25℃, surface dry in 1–2 hours, polishable after 6 hours, and fully cured in 24 hours. Baking at 60℃ can shorten curing time to 30–40 minutes.
Q4: What causes orange peel or gloss loss on clear coat?
A: Main causes: incorrect dilution ratio, unstable air pressure, too fast thinner, insufficient flash-off between coats, or spraying under high temperature and humidity.
