The 06CC017 is a 5.0HP two-stage carrier semi hermetic compressor engineered for low-temperature and ultra-low-temperature commercial refrigeration, cold storage freezers, and industrial environmental testing chambers. Designed with two stages of compression inside a single body, it features a 6-cylinder layout where 4 cylinders handle first-stage low-pressure suction and 2 cylinders manage second-stage high-pressure discharge.
This two-stage compound design significantly reduces the compression ratio per stage, yielding higher volumetric efficiency, greater cooling capacity, and lower energy costs compared to single-stage booster systems.
Low-temperature operating conditions subject refrigeration compressors to liquid floodback and oil dilution risks. The 06CC017 features an automated, auto-reversing high-flow positive-displacement vane oil pump paired with an enlarged 4.5L oil sump to ensure immediate oil pressure build-up upon startup.
Heavy-duty motor windings with advanced high-grade thermal insulation protect against burnout during high ambient loads and continuous operation. Vented connecting rods and precision Swedish steel reed valves maximize mechanical reliability and bearing service life.
