A reverse plated rotary dresser built by electro-deposition, so the diamond layer is stable and unaffected by shrinkage. The result is a rotary diamond dresser of exceptional accuracy that holds its profile through long production runs.
The diamond grit size is selected to match the smallest convex profile radius of the wheel, which then defines the surface finish of the ground workpiece. Diamonds are packed next to each other as densely as possible in a stochastic distribution. Dense packing benefits roll life, and the increased dressing force it brings is controlled by machine parameters.
