200mm 1A1R Metal Bond CBN Cutting Wheel B151 For HSS Alloy Steel Tube Cutting
Shine Abrasives 1A1R metal bond CBN cutting wheels are designed for cutting ferrous metals and difficult alloys where diamond abrasive would wear away too fast. Cubic boron nitride abrasive is held in a hard metal bond, giving a blade that keeps its diameter and keeps cutting cool on high speed steel, alloy steel, hardened parts and metal matrix composites.
Material matching
CBN abrasive is used for iron-containing metals, alloy materials and composites: high speed steel (HSS), tool steel, alloy steel tubes and bars, hardened steel, superalloy and metal matrix composites. CBN resists the chemical wear that shortens diamond life on steel.
Key advantages
Metal bond holds the B151 CBN abrasive firmly, so the blade cuts hard steel with low abrasive consumption and a long working life, even on continuous cut-off machines.
Free cutting behaviour on steel means low heat input, minimal burr and no burning or hardness change on the cut face of HSS and alloy steel parts.
Tensioned steel core keeps runout low, so cut width and squareness stay consistent during long uninterrupted cutting cycles.

Applications
Cut-off of HSS drills, taps and tool blanks, alloy steel tubes and bars, hardened steel components, superalloy sections and metal matrix composite parts.
Recommended working conditions
Wheel speed 25-35 m/s, feed 10-40mm/min, flood coolant recommended for HSS and alloy steel to protect the bond and the workpiece. Dress lightly with an alumina stick if the blade glazes.
