Halar® ECTFE is a partially fluorinated semi-crystalline polymer offering a unique combination of properties for highly demanding industries. It is widely used in anti-corrosion applications as a lining or in self-supporting constructions (piping). Its excellent fire resistance and chemical resistance properties make Halar® ECTFE a first-choice in wire and cable applications.
Halar® ECTFE offers purity, surface smoothness, chemical resistance, and fire resistance which are key characteristics in the semiconductor and photovoltaic markets.
ECTFE Halar 6514 is a black colored semi-crystalline ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene copolymer. It is a melt-processable fluorinated resin designed for electrostatic powder coatings or fluidized bed techniques.
This product possesses optimum and rapid adhesion, good chemical resistance, excellent thermal stability, outstanding permeation resistance, optimum flame resistance, good corrosion resistance and bondability. Used as a primer in anti-corrosion, coating and bonding applications and for maximizing topcoat adhesion performances.
Halar® ECTFE is widely used in anti-corrosion applications such as coating or in self-supporting constructions (pipes) and architectural films. Its excellent fire resistance and chemical resistance properties make it a first-choice product for wire and cable, communication cable and specialty cable applications.
