Product Overview
ECCtreme™ ECA is a new type of perfluoroplastic designed for high-temperature applications up to 300°C, offering superior electrical and chemical resistance. It can be melted and processed at normal operating speeds through standard high-temperature fluoroplastic processing equipment while maintaining the physical, electrical, and chemical resistance properties of polytetrafluoroethylene.
About ECCtreme™ ECA Family
The ECCtreme™ ECA family consists of melt-processable, high-temperature fluoroplastic resins that retain hallmark fluoropolymer benefits—chemical resistance, strong electrical performance, low friction—while extending the usable long-term temperature envelope for demanding applications.
Under certain heat-treatment conditions, an ECC (epitaxial co-crystallization) structure may form, potentially increasing melting point, reducing melt flow (higher melt viscosity), and improving resistance to stress cracking.
The primary differentiator across ECA 2000/3000/4000 models is melt-flow behavior (MFR) and targeted part geometry: thin-wall/high-speed extrusion benefits from higher MFR, while thick-wall extrusion and dimensional stability favor lower MFR.
