Performance Characteristics
Non-stickiness: Virtually no solid substances permanently adhere to FEP coatings
Heat resistance: Continuous use up to 204°C (400°F), intermittent use up to 260°C (500°F)
Chemical resistance: Excellent resistance to most chemicals except molten alkali metals and highly active fluorinating agents
Non-wetting properties: Hydrophobic and oleophobic with low surface energy
Electrical properties: High dielectric strength, low dielectric constant, low loss factor, and high surface resistivity
Wear resistance: Good durability and toughness with scratch and wear resistance
Food contact compliance: Many grades comply with FDA and regional food contact regulations
