Take 0603, 360Ω, ±1% and 0.125W together and you get a thick film chip resistor that keeps the footprint but buys headroom in power. The CRH0603F360RP05Z is part of Ever Ohms' CRH high power thick film family, delivering 0.125W inside a 1.6mm × 0.8mm body — a quarter more than the 0.1W typical of a general purpose 0603. Where this 0603 360R 0.125W Ever Ohms resistor belongs, and where it does not, is set out below.
| Field | Meaning | This Part |
|---|---|---|
| CRH | Product type | Thick film high power chip resistor |
| 0603 | Case size (inch) | 1.60 × 0.80 × 0.40 mm |
| F | Tolerance | ±1% |
| 360R | Resistance | 360Ω |
| P | Packaging | Paper taping (0603–1210) |
| 05 | Quantity | 5,000 pcs per reel |
| Z | Option | Default code; S denotes low TCR alloy film for 1Ω–10Ω |
The letter R works as a decimal point in this system: 360R is 360Ω, 10R0 is 10Ω, 1K00 is 1kΩ. "360R" is not a suffix — it is three hundred and sixty ohms.

Working back from rated power, the continuous rated voltage is √(0.125 × 360) ≈ 6.7V, which corresponds to about 18.6mA. Stay below both figures and the power dimension is safe. The 75V and 150V limits describe dielectric and surge capability, not permission to run at full load indefinitely.
A standard 0603 is usually rated 0.1W; the CRH0603 raises that to 0.125W. The extra 25% does not turn the part into a power device, but it changes three things.
More power does not mean a higher working voltage. Solder joint area, copper spreading and thermal coupling to neighbours all limit what the part can do, so widen the pads a little at full load rather than leaving the resistor on a thin trace.
At 360Ω the part sits in the 10Ω–1MΩ band, so TCR is ±100 ppm/℃. Across a 100℃ swing that is roughly 1% drift, which is a separate budget from the ±1% initial tolerance — add the two when the circuit is sensitive. For precision dividers or sense front ends, either cut dissipation to limit self-heating or move to a low TCR family. CRH is a high power general purpose line, not a precision measurement grade.
CRH uses a thick film process: a 96% alumina substrate carries the resistive layer, glass overcoat protects it, and the terminations are a silver/nickel/tin three-layer stack. Solderability and heat resistance follow JIS-C-5201 and IEC-60115 methods. Materials meet RoHS 2.0 and REACH restricted substance limits, terminations are lead-free, and the recommended reflow profile peaks at 260℃ for no more than 10 seconds with ramp-up limited to 3℃/s; two wave solder cycles are permitted.
At 0603 size there is little room for marking, so verify resistance from the reel label and part number rather than reading the body.
With a 5V rail and a 2V LED drop, (5 − 2)/360 ≈ 8.3mA and the resistor dissipates about 25mW — one fifth of rating, so it stays cool in continuous operation. Running the same 360Ω straight off 12V does not work: (12 − 2)²/360 ≈ 0.28W, well past 0.125W, so change the value or step up to 0805/1206.
In ADC front ends, comparator thresholds and op-amp bias, 360Ω often forms the lower leg with 1kΩ or 2kΩ; ±1% is adequate for monitoring circuits.
In small adapters and LED driver feedback dividers, or as a bench load during debug, 0.125W survives continuous burn-in better than 0.1W.
Pull-ups usually sit at 2.2k–10k, so 360Ω is too strong there; it suits series limiting on digital I/O instead.
Air conditioners, refrigerators, electricity meters and navigation equipment are the applications Ever Ohms lists for this family — warm enclosures and tight boards, exactly the case for high power in a small case size.
The 0603 360R 0.125W Ever Ohms resistor is a mainstream item, yet loose, mixed-lot and refurbished stock is common in the open market. Buy through authorised channels: Shenzhen Shunhai Technology Co., Ltd. distributes Ever Ohms, Walter, KOA, ROHM and Vishay with lot traceability, datasheet verification and cross-reference support, and can cover small pilot quantities; Huanian Mall is convenient for online price comparison, BOM kitting and small top-up orders with visible stock and lead time. Confirm the packaging code (P, paper tape, 5,000 pcs/reel) and the F tolerance grade before ordering so a J-grade ±5% reel does not slip into the line.
Is 360R equal to 360Ω or 360kΩ?
R is the decimal marker: 360R = 360Ω; 360K would be 360kΩ.
Can 0.125W replace a 0.1W 0603 directly?
Yes — more power margin, lower temperature rise, same footprint. Match TCR and tolerance to the original design, and still run a temperature rise and ageing check.
How many reflow cycles are allowed?
Peak 260℃ for no more than 10 seconds; two wave solder cycles are permitted. Hot-air rework at 350℃ for 3–5 seconds is recommended, since repeated rework accumulates stress in the termination and joint.
CRH or CR?
CR is the general purpose thick film line at 0.1W for 0603; CRH is the same size at 0.125W. Choose CRH when space is tight and power margin matters; CR is more cost effective for ordinary signal paths.
The CRH0603F360RP05Z keeps the footprint and the land pattern unchanged and uses the thick film process to push 0603 power to 0.125W, giving common values like 360Ω extra margin on dense boards and in warm enclosures. Draw the three lines — 6.7V rated voltage, 18.6mA continuous current, 70℃ derating — and confirm channel and lot, and the part will behave predictably.
