The TNC series product is a threaded iteration of the BNC connector, distinguished by its screw threads for secure mating. These compact, waterproof units feature a constant 50-ohm impedance and operate within the DC-11 GHz frequency range. There are two variants of TNC connectors: standard and reverse polarity. Although these low-cost connectors are typically constructed from die-cast and molded components, their performance does not rival that of industrial or military-grade products. However, they are highly suitable for various commercial applications. Widely employed in antenna connections, TNC connectors find extensive use in avionics, defense, communications, and general industrial markets. Reverse polarity and 75-ohm versions of the TNC connector are also available.
