The Airtight MRI Power-Operated Sliding Door combines electromagnetic shielding with strict air sealing requirements for MRI environments where contamination control is critical, such as operating rooms or cleanroom facilities. Safety light curtains across the aperture provide non-contact obstacle detection, with automatic stop and reverse functionality to prevent injury or damage. The door is constructed from 304 stainless steel and aluminum with brushed stainless steel finish, providing the corrosion resistance and easy-cleaning surface required in sterile environments.
The design includes adjustable perimeter seals that ensure both RF attenuation and air tightness. The door can be modified to accommodate code 5 lead shielding for intra-operative MRI applications where radiation protection is also required.
