This construction achieves the highest possible RF attenuation, making it suitable for superconducting MRI systems requiring both RF and magnetic field shielding. The copper shielding layer eliminates RF leakage paths through the door, ensuring the Faraday cage integrity required for high-quality imaging.

The door incorporates aluminum alloy framing for structural support, with careful attention to electrical isolation from the building structure. The welded copper construction provides continuous shielding without gaps or seams that could compromise performance. This design is particularly suitable for permanent MRI installations where the highest level of shielding performance is required, including high-field (3.0T and above) systems and facilities performing advanced research applications.

Acoustic isolation features include multi-layer wood panels with melamine coating, achieving STC 40 or STC 50 sound transmission class ratings.
