The JOVVI EMI Shielded Window features specially treated black painted brass wire mesh that delivers RF attenuation of 110 dB across the 10 MHz to 130 MHz frequency band, exceeding standard MRI shielding requirements. The black painting serves a dual purpose: it reduces glare and visual artifacts that could distract patients or interfere with visual monitoring, while also protecting the mesh from oxidation and corrosion.
The window construction uses a 60 mesh per inch brass wire mesh, providing finer shielding than standard windows for enhanced attenuation. The structure comprises two layers of 5mm glass with the shielding mesh sandwiched between, creating a robust assembly that maintains optical clarity while delivering superior RF performance. This high-density mesh configuration makes the window particularly suitable for high-field MRI systems where shielding requirements are more stringent.
The frame is fabricated from aluminum alloy or wood, both materials selected for their non-magnetic properties and compatibility with MRI environments. The frame incorporates copper plating to ensure electrical continuity with the MRI room's copper shielding system. Available in dimensions including 0.9m × 1.2m, the window provides a clear viewing area for patient observation.
This EMI shielded window is specifically designed for MRI room installations where maximum RF attenuation is required.
