The 85065A coaxial probe method is a non-destructive, broadband technique for measuring dielectric properties. The probe tip is placed in direct contact with the material under test. The VNA measures the reflection coefficient (S11), and the companion 85071E software computes the complex permittivity. Calibration is performed using open, short, and reference liquid (deionized water) standards before measurement.
