DDM365B is a three-dimensional dynamic electronic compass that integrates a 12 axis inertial measurement unit, including three-axis attitude angle, three-axis accelerometer, three-axis gyroscope, and three-axis magnetic induction technology. By utilizing the high dynamic angle characteristics of gyroscopes and the high stability attitude characteristics of accelerometer, the pitch and roll angles that follow complex attitude changes are obtained through dynamic inertial navigation algorithms. The geomagnetic azimuth angle adopts hard and soft magnetic calibration algorithms, which enable the compass to eliminate the influence of magnetic fields through calibration algorithms even in environments with magnetic field interference. By real-time calculation of heading through the central processing unit and dynamic heading
compensation of magnetic azimuth over a large range using dynamic pitch and roll angles, the compass can provide high-precision heading data even at a tilt angle of up to ± 85 °. The electronic compass integrates a highly DSP processing unit with diverse output methods, including standard interfaces such as RS232/RS485/TTL, and can also accept customization of other communication interfaces.

▶ MEASUREMENT AND INSTALLATION
Since the azimuth angle of the three-dimensional electronic compass uses the principle of geomagnetism, it is necessary to select the environmental installation location with the least magnetic interference. Please install this product away from iron, magnets, motors, and other magnetic objects. Even if there are these magnetic media around, it needs to be controlled at more than 40CM (different magnetic fields interfere with the compass at different distances). To ensure product measurement accuracy, Copper screws must be used for installation. This product can compensate in stable magnetic environment, but cannot compensate for changed magnetic interference. Please pay attention to the magnetic field generated by the wires with direct current, because the magnitude of the magnetic field will change with the direct current. The battery is also a source of interference for changes. Every installation is different and the user must evaluate the feasibility of the installation in all possible operating
environments. In a non-interference environment, the measured heading accuracy of this product is ≤1°, but scientific testing methods are also crucial. The test method we recommend is: install this
electronic compass on a vertically erected aluminum (non-magnetic other material) pole to measure heading accuracy (of course, the rotating pole is perpendicular to the rotating platform, and try to avoid large external magnetic fields. interference). This can reduce the radius of the compass rotation and scientifically improve the measurement accuracy. This is only to provide laboratory installation, and must be handled flexibly in specific situations. For example: when installed on a car, the product is installed perpendicular to the direction of movement.
