The point distribution of microwaves on the cross section of bacterial membrane affects the electron and ion density around the membrane, thus changing the permeability of the membrane and killing bacteria. From a biochemical point of view, the normal growth and reproduction of bacterial nucleic acid (RNA) and deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) are coiled macromolecules tightly connected by a number of hydrogen bonds, microwave can lead to hydrogen bond relaxation, fracture and reorganization, thereby inducing genetic or chromosome aberration, fracture. Microwave sterilization is the use of electromagnetic field effect and biological effect to kill microorganisms. |
