1. Surface Preparation

Before applying thermoplastic paint, proper surface preparation is crucial to ensure good adhesion and longevity of the markings.

• Clean the Surface:
  • Remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, and any debris from the road surface using a broom, pressure washer, or mechanical cleaner.
  • If there are existing road markings that need to be replaced, they should be removed using a suitable method, such as shot blasting or grinding.
• Dry the Surface:
  • Ensure the surface is dry and free from moisture before applying the thermoplastic paint. Moisture can interfere with paint adhesion.

2. Heating the Thermoplastic Paint
