Frequently Asked Questions
How fast is the changeover between handle models?
Within the same fixture family, changeover is a recipe call — typically minutes, including tooling swap via quick-change fixtures. Between families, zero-point clamping keeps re-setup under minutes. Final numbers come from a changeover demonstration on your parts.
Can the same cell really handle brass, zinc, aluminum and stainless steel?
Yes. Material-specific pressure profiles are stored per model: lead-free and die-cast zinc run light and slow to avoid over-polish, brass and steel run standard, aluminum gets pre-anodizing prep paths. Switching material is a recipe parameter, not a machine re-tune.
Can it switch between mirror and satin finish without changing hardware?
Yes — surface finish is a program parameter. Mirror, satin and pre-plating base paths use the same tooling with different speeds, pressures and media; the cell switches by program. Media change for extreme cases uses the quick-change spindle.
Is a 100-piece batch economical on this machine?
Yes. With changeover in minutes, the setup cost per run collapses — there's no minimum batch size to justify the machine. Family fixtures even batch several models in one cycle: load mixed handles, polish all, unload.
What Ra can you guarantee?
Mirror finish target is Ra μm on brass and steel, validated on a sample piece before you commit. Satin and brushed paths are spec'd against your reference sample.
What is the payback for replacing 2-3 polishers?
Typically 12-18 months, driven by scarce-polisher labor cost, reduced changeover downtime and lower re-polish rates. We model it with your actual labor cost, batch mix and shift plan.
