Automotive exterior trim is judged by eye — under a 45° inspection light, every brush line, every mirror reflection, every cut edge is visible. Hand finishing long strips creates the three defects OEM buyers reject: hand-over marks where passes meet, texture drift along the length, and inconsistent edge deburring on cut ends. Can the robot finish curved trim strips, not just straight ones?
Yes. The 6-axis arm follows programmed arcs; the linear track extends the reach. Curved beltline mouldings and straight door trims run from the same machine.
Satin brushing and mirror polishing — do I need two machines?
No. The finishing head is swappable (abrasive belt / buffing wheel) and programs switch the finish spec. One cell covers deburring, satin and mirror.
How long can the strips be?
