While most polishing machines target Ra, the LR-POLISH-HG-ZA targets GU—the gloss unit measurement used by retail and hospitality buyers to specify "high-gloss chrome." The relationship between substrate Ra and finished chrome GU is non-linear and depends on multiple factors including chrome build thickness, polishing direction uniformity, smear-layer presence, and Zamak alloy grade.
