Fully automatic robotic polishing machine for motorcycle mirror arms and stems — removes casting burrs and surface defects from zinc alloy and aluminum mirror brackets, buffs the curved taper to a paint-ready surface, and protects the cross-clamp fitting throughout. The Problem: Why Mirror Arm Finishing is the Invisible Reject Driver
  • Casting defects amplified by gloss black: Micro-pits, parting lines and cold shuts that are invisible on a raw casting become gloss-black defects the moment the lacquer cures — rejects you can only count after paint, when it is too late.
  • Tapered curved body, no fixed contact angle: The arm sweeps from a thick root to a thin tip along a continuous arc. A fixed buffing head misses the taper transitions and over-polishes the peaks while leaving the valleys dull.
  • Cross-clamp fitting must survive intact: The four-way mounting boss at the mirror end is a precision fitting. Buffing compound into the clamp threads or hitting the boss with the wheel means a mechanical reject — no amount of good paint fixes it.
  • Left and right arms are mirror images: Manual operators must flip their motion for each handed part — doubling error rate and training time for what should be a simple paired operation.
