The rated 10 kg covers the end effector, gripper, workpiece and any dress pack carried on the wrist. The figure holds out to the full 900 mm reach, so a 2 kg tool still leaves 8 kg of part weight at maximum extension.
This unit is rated IP54. That covers the dust, chip and coolant mist exposure typical of machining and foundry cells, while direct high pressure jet washing of the joints is not recommended.
The model is listed for Ceiling mounting and uses the same base bolt pattern in either orientation, so a cell can be inverted or moved to the floor without ordering a different mounting plate.
