T6 series core bits are used for surface exploration with the T6 series core barrel.Impregnated bits can penetrate a broad range of formations from the softest to the hardest rocks. They aremanufactured with very small, high quality synthetic diamonds mixed evenly through a tungsten carbide matrix.During drilling the matrix wears away evenly resulting in continuous exposure of new, sharp diamond pointsthroughout the life of the bit.
All impregnated bits have T.C. and diamond gauge protection. The optimum diamond size, concentration andmatrix composition varies according to the hardness and abrasiveness of the rock formations to be drilled.
Imp. Type:
Impregnated Diamond Core Bits are manufactured with very small, high quality synthetic diamonds, mixed evenly through a metal alloy matrix. The matrix erodes away at the same rate as the diamonds become worn and rounded. Thus new sharp diamonds are exposed to continue cutting through the rock. In most geological formations, impregnated bits are more economical to use than other bits.
Surface Set Type:
Surface Set Diamond Core Bits are the drilling bits which a single layer of industrial natural diamonds is mounted on the matrix as the working surface for the required purpose. Therefore, compared to the Impregnated Diamond Core Bits, the matrix is extremely hard for holding the diamonds in postion throughtout the bit life.
KSQ manufactuered Surface Set Diamond Core Bits provide the highest quality in China. They are highly recommended for the soft to medium hard, abrasive, uncosoildated formations, and for those projects which the timing is on the top of the priority list. Some special designed KSQ Suface Set bits are also recommended for hard formations with a lower rotational speed and bit load.
The Surface Set product line includes various diamond grades, stone sizes and matrix profiles for different solutions(DCDMA, CDDA, Craelius, ISO and Etc.). Forsun are also able to provide the service to design new products for some special condition.
