High-density rock wool boards feature tighter fibers and a more solid structure, giving them advantages far surpassing ordinary rock wool boards in performance—especially in terms of strength, thermal insulation stability, and fire safety reliability. Their core performance is reflected in the following aspects: First, mechanical strength is significantly enhanced. The dense interwoven fiber structure enables the boards to have a compressive strength of 100-200kPa, along with stronger flexural resistance and deformation resistance. They are less likely to crack or collapse due to external pressure or long-term load-bearing, and can withstand greater loads. Second, thermal insulation performance is more stable and long-lasting. The high-density structure reduces gap losses between fibers, with a thermal conductivity as low as 0.034-0.040W/(m·K). This not only improves thermal insulation efficiency but also prevents heat transfer from easily penetrating the board structure during long-term use (such as in high-temperature industrial environments or outdoor cold scenarios), avoiding the attenuation of thermal insulation effects that occurs in ordinary rock wool boards due to loose fibers. Third, fire resistance and high-temperature resistance are more reliable. As Class A non-combustible materials, high-density rock wool boards can maintain their intact structure even at high temperatures (above 700℃) without softening or pulverizing, and do not release toxic gases. Compared with ordinary rock wool boards, they have a longer flame-retardant duration, buying more time for personnel evacuation and equipment protection in fire scenarios. Fourth, sound insulation and impermeability are better. The dense fiber structure has a stronger ability to absorb and block sound waves, especially improving the isolation effect of low-frequency noise (such as industrial machinery vibration noise and building structure-borne sound) by more than 30%. At the same time, the denser structure also reduces water vapor permeability, minimizing performance degradation caused by water absorption.

Based on these properties, the benefits and advantages of high-density rock wool boards are evident in practical applications: In the industrial field, they can stably wrap high-temperature boilers, steam pipelines, and heavy-duty equipment. This not only reduces heat loss to lower energy consumption but also withstands vibrations and pressures generated during equipment operation, extending the service life of the thermal insulation system. In the construction field, when used in external walls, roofs, or curtain wall cavities of high-rise buildings, they can resist external forces from strong winds and accumulated rain/snow, preventing board detachment or deformation. Meanwhile, they achieve both efficient thermal insulation and fire safety, meeting the strict requirements for material safety and durability in high-rise buildings. In special scenarios (such as ship engine rooms and subway tunnels), their characteristics of high compression resistance, high-temperature resistance, and low water permeability allow them to adapt to complex environments with humidity, vibration, and high temperatures—fulfilling sound insulation and noise reduction needs while ensuring structural safety. Additionally, high-density rock wool boards have greater durability, with a normal service life of 25-30 years, far exceeding that of ordinary rock wool boards. This reduces the frequency and cost of material replacement, resulting in higher long-term cost-effectiveness. Moreover, their environmentally friendly and non-toxic nature enables them to meet the requirements of various scenarios with high environmental safety standards (such as food processing plants and hospital equipment rooms).
