Flanged housing units offer a wide range of advantages in the design, production, assembly and maintenance of large electrical machinery. The design of the end shields is significantly simplified, resulting in considerable reductions in the construction work required on large motor housings. Plastic Pillow Blocks are made from engineering grade glass filled PBT polyester and are completely interchangeable with conventional cast iron blocks. These maintenance free blocks have excellent mechanical strength, stiffness and dimensional stability, and never rust or corrode. Polymer Pillow blocks are currently being used in many industries including food processing, bottling and packaging machines, chemical processing, and pool and marine applications. MOUETTE Pillow blocks can be purchased with a variety of insert bearings to best suit your specific application.
Materials Available:
· 304 Stainless insert ball bearing, 304 Stainless races and balls.
· 420 Stainless insert ball bearing, 420 Stainless races and balls.
· 440 Stainless insert ball bearing, 440 Stainless races and balls
These maintenance-free plastic pillow blocks have excellent mechanical strength, stiffness, and dimensional stability and never rust or corrode. When inserted with a stainless insert ball bearing, they provide superior corrosion resistance compared to any mounted unit offered today.
