Product Description:
In an annealed condition, the mixed micro structure of S32205 Duplex Polished Bar contains approximately 40 % - 50% ferrite. The Duplex Steel S32205 Forged Bar is often referred to as the work horse grade, because the alloy is the most widely used grade in the duplex category of stainless steels. The advantage of having a dual or duplex micro structure is that the Duplex Steel Uns S31803 Hollow Bar has a set of combined, yet favourable qualities of a ferritic alloy, i.e. resistance to stress related corrosion cracking and high tensile strength with those of an austenitic class alloy i.e. ease of fabrication and corrosion resistance properties.
