Performance characteristics
Severe Service Fluid Isolation: The premium fluoropolymer liner provides complete, near-universal chemical isolation, shielding the outer structural rubber from aggressive process media, including concentrated mineral acids, harsh alkalis, and reactive organic solvents.
High-Capacity Thermal Growth Relief: The engineered single-sphere bellows configuration yields smoothly to extreme dynamic piping shifts, effortlessly absorbing concurrent axial compression, axial extension, lateral shearing, and angular misalignments caused by intense thermal cycling.
Premium Acoustic & Vibration Damping: The high-damping elastomer outer housing acts as a highly efficient kinetic energy sink, swallowing solid-borne noise, mechanical rattling, and high-frequency hydraulic pulsations from pumps and compressors right at the source.
Non-Stick, Anti-Caking Bore: The ultra-smooth, low-friction interior surface of the PTFE liner minimizes fluid friction loss, actively resists biological scaling, and prevents chemical crystallization or sediment from adhering to the inner arch wall.

Severe service refers to piping environments that experience a brutal combination of high temperatures, high pressures, frequent thermal cycles, and highly corrosive or volatile process fluids. Standard unlined rubber joints or rigid alloy loops will rapidly fail under these combined stresses, but this PTFE-lined composite joint provides the optimal balance of total chemical resistance and mechanical flexibility needed to survive these conditions safely.
Because engineered fluoroplastics are naturally more rigid than standard synthetic rubber compounds, a PTFE-lined bellows will exhibit slightly higher stiffness and a moderately reduced maximum movement allowance compared to an unlined rubber joint of the exact same dimensions. However, our advanced pressure-vulcanization process ensures the liner perfectly mirrors the bellows configuration, preserving excellent multi-axial compensation while maintaining total chemical safety.
In many chemical and process networks, the media being transported is completely incompatible with standard elastomers like EPDM, NBR, or natural rubber, which would quickly swell, harden, or dissolve upon contact. "Fluid isolation" means the continuous, heavy-walled PTFE liner acts as an absolute physical barrier, ensuring the flowing chemical only ever contacts inert fluoroplastic, leaving the outer structural rubber completely protected to perform its mechanical damping duties.
