Product Introduction
Damping plate, also called clay plate or damping block, is a viscoelastic material attached to the inner surface of the body, close to the steel plate wall. Its primary function is to reduce noise and vibration, providing effective damping.
Damping pads are installed in all vehicles and are also used in aerospace vehicles, aircraft, and other machinery requiring shock and noise reduction.
Damping refers to the physical phenomenon where energy is lost over time due to the retardation of an oscillating or vibrating system. In marine applications, damping primarily consists of viscous damping, wave damping, and other external damping.
In Europe, the United States, and other countries with developed automotive industries, automotive damping plates typically use polymer resin materials or rubber materials. Both raw materials do not volatilize toxic or harmful gases.
Asphalt materials are also commonly used in vehicles, particularly asphalt damping plates. These viscoelastic materials are attached to the inner surface of the body, close to the steel plate wall, to reduce vibration, minimize noise, and improve driving quality.
