The IEC60884-1 Anti Tracking Resistance Testing Machine is designed to evaluate the electrical tracking resistance of insulating materials used in household appliances and electrical products under conditions of moisture and contamination.
This testing apparatus simulates real-world conditions where electrical products are exposed to moisture and impurities. Under these conditions, insulation materials may experience leakage currents between live parts of different polarity or between live parts and grounded metal components.
The test evaluates material resistance to electrical tracking, erosion, and potential ignition caused by arcing and discharge phenomena. This destructive testing method assesses the relative tracking resistance of insulating materials when exposed to electrical stress and contaminant solutions at specified voltage levels.
Applications: Electrical and electronic products, household appliances, solid electrical insulation materials and components including relay sockets, switch covers, and contactor bodies.
