The 5WK96672 (also referenced as 5WK96672A or 5WK9 6672A) is a planar dual-cell limiting current type nitrogen oxide (NOx) sensor designed specifically for 12V medium-duty diesel engine exhaust aftertreatment systems equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR). As an electrochemical sensor that continuously measures the concentration of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust stream, it communicates with the engine control unit via digital CAN bus protocol, enabling precise SCR system control and regulatory compliance with EPA 2010, Euro V, Euro VI, and equivalent emission standards.
The sensor consists of a ceramic sensing element and an integrated electronic control unit, forming a single unit installed in the exhaust gas system. It monitors nitrogen oxide levels in real-time, enabling the engine control module to optimize fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.
