The 10399754 heated planar zirconia oxygen sensor is a direct-fit replacement for the Bosch 0 258 010 361 application used across the Opel, Chevrolet and SAIC (MG / Roewe) small petrol engine range. It measures residual oxygen in the exhaust gas and returns a 0.1–0.9 V switching signal to the ECU, enabling closed-loop fuel control at the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio.
The integrated heater brings the ceramic element to operating temperature within seconds of a cold start, allowing the ECU to enter closed-loop control earlier and reducing cold-start emissions. The sensor features a stainless-steel shell, a zirconia ceramic element with a vapour-deposited platinum electrode, and a spinel protective coating against solid particle erosion.
