56 Deg Plate Polarizing Beamsplitter, Brewster Angle Of Incidence
| Overview: This 56 Deg Polarizing Plate Beamsplitters transmit p-polarization and reflect s-polarization as the monochromatic beam entering at Brewster’s angle (56° AOI).
They are designed for use in the most demanding lasers. Due to the high laser damage threshold, they are used as an alternative to Glan laser polarizing prisms or cube polarizing beamsplitters. Typical applications are intracavity Q-switch hold-off polarizers or extracavity attenuators for Nd:YAG lasers. Our 56 Deg plalte polarizing beamsplitter can be used at an > 40° angle of incidence, but polarization is most efficient and appears in a broad wavelength range at 56° AOI (Brewster angle).
