The QR-SHG Micro-computer Controlled Dual Disc Infrared Dryer is a specialized device designed to rapidly determine the moisture content of molding sand in wet casting production. Excessive moisture: Poor flowability, reduced compaction, low wet strength → casting defects such as rough surfaces, swelling, porosity, sand inclusion, and sticking.
Insufficient moisture: Poor toughness, weak mold strength → defects like sand flushing, sand holes, and difficulty in mold stripping.
