This machine is a continuous sand washing machine that can clean two samples simultaneously. As long as the water source is connected and the pressure and flow rate of the water are controlled, it will automatically clean until it is clear, release sand, dry and weigh it, and calculate the mud content. Short time and high efficiency, not only easy to operate but also capable of continuous automatic flushing, stable numerical values, and good results. For some old sands, using siphon flushing method is both time-consuming and cumbersome, requiring at least 3-4 hours, while using continuous flushing method only takes 1-2 hours.
Mud content refers to the percentage of particles with a diameter less than 0.020mm in the original and old sand used for casting. In these fine particles, in addition to clay, there is also dust that does not have adhesive properties. If the mud content of wet molding sand is too high, exceeding 16%, it will decrease the permeability, make the casting prone to porosity, make the sand brittle, make mold removal difficult, and lead to an increase in the appropriate moisture content. If the mud content is too low, it will increase the permeability of the molding sand, and also cause a decrease in the surface quality of the casting, even leading to sand sticking.
For resin sand, the mud content is particularly important (mud content<0.2%). If the raw sand used has not been washed or scrubbed, the mud content of the raw sand will be relatively high. This will reduce the strength of the bonding agent itself connecting the bridge, increase the consumption of bonding agent and the gas generation of the sand core, and have adverse effects on the casting.

Principle and Structure of Mud Content Measurement
Instrument principle
According to the provisions of the national standard GB2684-2009-T. The raw sand and old sand used for casting contain particles with a diameter greater than 0.020mm as sand, and particles with a diameter less than 0.020mm as mud. The determination of mud content in raw sand usually adopts the water washing method, which separates the mud based on the principle that the suspended sand and mud in water have different diameters and decrease rates. The principle of continuous flushing is that tap water enters the bottom of water washing bottle 6 through pressure reducing valve, control electromagnetic water valve, diversion cut-off switch, flow meter, etc. During the experiment, clean water is continuously fed into the water washing bottle, and the water flow will continuously wash the sand sample 7 at the bottom of the sand washing bottle, so that the rising speed of the water flow is equal to the sinking speed of the large particles of mud in the clean water. In this way, sand particles with a diameter greater than 0.020mm will deposit in the water flow at a certain flow rate, and mud particles with a diameter less than 0.020mm will not sink. They will be discharged together with water from the upper part of the sand washing bottle until the water in the upper part of the sand sample is transparent.
