|
High Efficiency & Compact Design: Utilizing reactive power compensation, the system draws less than 1/10 of the test object's apparent power, significantly reducing the required input power. This enables a more compact, lightweight, and cost-effective design compared to conventional test sets of equivalent output capacity. The result is a powerful, easy-to-operate, and safe system with high output capacity but minimal grid demand.
Exceptional Output Waveform Quality: Operating as a harmonic filter, the series resonance circuit ensures that the current through the test object is almost purely sinusoidal. Consequently, the output test voltage exhibits extremely low total harmonic distortion (THD), far superior to that of standard AC withstand voltage test equipment.
Inherent Fault Current Limitation: In the event of a flashover or breakdown, the resonant circuit's characteristics naturally limit the short-circuit current to less than 1/10 (approximately 1/Q) of the pre-fault test current. This inherent protection significantly minimizes further damage to the fault point after an insulation failure.
Safe Arc Quenching & Voltage Recovery: Following a disruptive discharge, the system facilitates automatic arc extinction. The recovery of the resonant test voltage is a controlled, gradual, and stable process, preventing dangerous voltage spikes and ensuring a high level of operational safety.
