Colored Sapphire Crystal Watch Case For Large-Size Processing Work
The Kyropoulos method, referred to as KY, was first proposed by Kyropoulos in 1926 and used for crystal growth, and for a long time thereafter, the method was used for the preparation and research of large-size halogen crystals, hydroxides and carbonates. In the 1960s and 1970s, this method was improved by Musatov of the former Soviet Union and applied to the preparation of sapphire monocrystalline. The method grows a single crystal, the appearance is usually pear-shaped, the diameter of the crystal can grow to a size 10 to 30mm smaller than the inside diameter of the pot.
After the crystal has grown and completed the process of disengaging from the crucible, the crystal must be slowly cooled and cooled in the furnace, and the cooling process must be used to anneal the crystal to eliminate the internal stress accumulated by the crystal during the growth period, to avoid the residual internal stress, causing the crystal to crack when cooling due to the release stress. After annealing is complete, turn off the heating voltage and continue to cool, and then remove the sapphire crystals when the temperature in the furnace drops to room temperature to continue the subsequent analysis process.
