Description of copper cable granulator
Copper cable granulator, also known as waste wire and cable crusher, is a specialized equipment for dry recycling and processing of waste wires and cables. Without the need for water washing, relying on the principles of crushing and specific gravity sorting, the mixed copper and plastic waste wires are separated to produce pure copper rice and plastic particles, achieving efficient recycling of metals and plastics.
Applicable raw materials: waste wires and cables, automotive wiring harnesses, communication cables, household waste wires, miscellaneous wires, etc.
Workflow: Feeding → Crushing and shredding → Air selection and specific gravity sorting → Copper granules and plastic separation and discharge.
Workflow of copper cable granulator
1. Shredding and Granulation: Scrap wires are first cut into segments by a shredder and then fed into a granulator to be crushed into granules just a few millimeters in size, ensuring the copper and plastic are fully detached.
2. Sorting and Separation: The mixed granules undergo airflow or vibrating screen processing; utilizing density differences, the copper sinks while the plastic rises, achieving preliminary separation.
3. Fine Purification: Some systems are equipped with electrostatic separators that utilize differences in electrical conductivity to further remove residual plastic, thereby increasing the purity of the copper.

Technological process of copper cable granulator
If the site or funds are more abundant, the waste wires and cables can be broken into about 3cm long by shredding equipment, then cut and crushed by secondary crusher, and then separated by specific gravity air flow to obtain high purity copper. If the copper contains unsorted broken plastic, it can also be sorted by electrostatic separator to ensure high reuse rate of copper. The equipment has the advantages of new and reasonable structure, large production capacity and low power consumption. High sorting rate, one-time feeding and multi machine supporting facilities. The production line is controlled by PLC. The machine solves the problems of air pollution and copper wire blackening caused by burning copper.
