Does this seat belt have a pre-tensioner? What happens when it is triggered?
Modern car seat belts are all equipped with pre-tensioners (which quickly tighten the webbing during a collision to reduce the movement of the occupants). This product also includes this feature.
Important Safety Notice: If a vehicle collision occurs and the pre-tensioner has been activated (the webbing cannot be pulled out / the lock is engaged), the entire seat belt assembly must be replaced immediately. Do not attempt to repair or reuse it.
After replacement, it is necessary to use the Honda Diagnostic System (HDS) to clear the fault codes of the SRS system and ensure that the airbag indicator light goes out.
