The Multipulse SIDAC is a voltage switch designed for Metal-Halide and High Pressure Sodium lamp ignition circuits in outdoor street and area lighting. It is a robust solid-state switch capable of operating at ambient temperatures up to 90C, with junction temperatures reaching 125C, especially during lamp element failure. Its excellent commutation time (tCOMM) enables the production of multiple pulses per half cycle of 50/60 Hz line voltage. The Kxxx1GL series offers a repetitive off-state blocking voltage (VDRM) from 180V to 270V, with blocking capability ensured by glass-passivated junctions. It is available in a DO-15 axial leaded package with tin-plated copper alloy leads.
