The MAC15 Series Triacs are silicon bidirectional thyristors designed for full-wave AC control applications. They are suitable for use in solid-state relays, motor controls, heating controls, and power supplies, or anywhere full-wave silicon gate-controlled solid-state devices are required. These triacs can switch from a blocking to a conducting state for either polarity of applied main terminal voltage, with positive or negative gate triggering. Key features include blocking voltage up to 800 V, all diffused and glass-passivated junctions for enhanced uniformity and stability, and a small, rugged Thermowatt construction for low thermal resistance and high heat dissipation. The MAC15 Series offers gate triggering in three modes, while the MAC15A Series guarantees triggering in four modes. These devices are Pb-free and RoHS compliant.
