The +GF+ Signet 3‑2850‑51‑40V is an integral-mount conductivity/resistivity sensor system that combines 2850 smart sensor electronics with a Type 2840 electrode (cell constant K=0.1 cm⁻¹) in a PVDF/Hastelloy C wetted construction and ¾″ FNPT junction-box mount for inline or submersible installation. Key parameters: measurement range 0–1,000 µS/cm (factory span), accuracy ±2% of reading, update <600 ms, 12–24 VDC loop power, Digital (S³L) serial output @ 9600 bps, and NEMA 4X / IP65 enclosure rated –10 to +85 °C. The built-in EasyCal™ auto-recognizes standard test solutions for fast, audit-friendly field calibration, and the custom cell constant is factory-programmed into the electronics.
Its core function is to deliver a stable, temperature-compensated conductivity (or derived resistivity) signal into a Signet 9900/8900 controller or upstream digitizer so the PLC/DCS can enforce RO/DI quality interlocks, regeneration triggers, rinse-cycle accept/reject logic, and TDS compliance alarms. Typical use: RO/DI make-up, boiler/condensate control, neutralization support, scrubber liquor tracking, and purified-water loop monitoring in the mid-purity range (≈1–1,000 µS/cm). The PVDF/Hastelloy C wetted path handles aggressive media, the S³L digital link eliminates analog drift over long cable runs (up to 120 m / 400 ft to the 9900), and the FNPT j-box form factor makes retrofit into existing standpipes or tees fast and seal-friendly.
